Jamie Vickers
Director of Sales & Account Management Australasia

Originally from the UK, Jamie joined Best Doctors in 2011 and brought with him a dynamic attitude and invaluable knowledge of the insurance industry.

He has since served as National Account Manager, Head of Account Management and is now leading the accounts team as Director, Sales & Account Management for the Australia and New Zealand  region. His primary focus is to identify and win new accounts as well as manage Best Doctors’ existing client base by identifying and developing new distribution channels.

Jamie began his career at Citi Bank where he was responsible for the wealth management, branch & sales marketing functions. He later joined MLC, part of the Nippon Life Insurance Group as Strategic Marketing Manager. Jamie played a vital role in the organization and helped shape MLC’s Insurance acquisition and retention activity for customers and financial advisers.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Wales, Cardiff.

Darren Reynolds
Managing Director of Australasia & Vice President of Global Partnerships

Darren is an Australian native with over 26 years of experience in general management and strategic roles.

Since 2010, he has been the head of the Australasia team assisting his staff in developing the Best Doctors brand and spreading our values across the region. His leadership and knowledge has been vital to the growth that Best Doctors has experienced in this part of the world. In addition, Darren is Vice President of Global Partnerships managing some of the largest accounts at Best Doctors.

Some of his previous roles include General Manager for Client Solutions at the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIF), General Manager for Sales at Versura Capital and Strategic Sales Consultant at National Workplace Training.

Darren has a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Communications from the University of Western Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Management from Monash University.

Kathy Hernandez
Director of Clinical Operations EMEAA

Kathy has been one of the most vital people to the EMEAA organization for the past 8 years.

During her beginnings at Best Doctors Kathy perfected her knowledge about the organisation’s services during her time as a Member Advocate. She assisted patients throughout their second medical opinion processes and after 3 years was promoted to Nurse Lead for the EMEEA team. Best Doctors named Kathy Director of Clinical Operations EMEAA in 2013 and has since been working tirelessly to ensure that patient satisfaction is obtained and that her processes attain to the organisation’s values at a global level.

Kathy is a registered nurse and previously worked in the field at Hospital Sanitas La Zarzuela and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University.

Enrique Cardona
Vice President of Operations EMEAA

Originally from Spain, Enrique is fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan. Since 2003, he has been at the forefront of the health and wellness sectors.

Enrique was named Vice President of Operations EMEAA at Best Doctors in 2014 and ever since, has been helping propel the company’s growth and core values in the entire Eastern Hemisphere. Enrique is the top-decision maker for the EMEAA region and is responsible for the operations business units comprised of six departments including: services operations & quality, medical operations, marketing, finance, legal and HR.

Enrique’s previously held the positions of Chief Information Officer and later Managing Director at IMED Hospitales, Clinical Manager at SHA Wellness Clinic and Executive Operational Manager at Caser Residencial.

Enrique holds several degrees including an Engineering Degree from the Universitat Politècnica de València, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, a Master’s Degree in Business Management & Marketing from the Real Centro Universitario María Cristina, and a MBA from ITEAP, as well several others.

Lewis Levy, MD, FACP
Chief Medical Officer

Lew Levy, MD, FACP is the Chief Medical Officer at Best Doctors.

He provides medical leadership to the clinical operations team to deliver the highest quality clinical information on diagnosis and treatment to members and their treating physicians.

He has over 25 years of clinical experience as an internist at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Boston. Dr. Levy also has an extensive teaching career as a preceptor in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is an instructor at Harvard Medical School.

He continues to practice primary care internal medicine and has participated in pioneer ACO, HMO and FFS arrangements.

Dr. Levy earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Peter McClennen
Chief Executive Officer

Peter brings more than 20 years of experience leading a wide range of health care IT service companies and health systems operations.

Immediately prior to joining Best Doctors, he served as President of Population Health Management at Allscripts Health Solutions, building a new business unit focused on the transition to value-based care through patient engagement, systems interoperability and analytics.

Previous to that, he led dbMotion Inc, a global medical informatics company, from its early days as a start-up with only one client, to an industry leader in the interoperability and Health Information Exchange (HIE) market space; dbMotion was subsequently acquired by Allscripts. Peter spent his early career in hospitals and medical imaging centers followed by roles at Fujifilm Medical Systems, GE Health care and AMICAS Inc.

With a deep concentration in health care, he uniquely understands the complex environment and the critical intersection of quality service and efficient operations that lead to sustained success, both in the U.S. and in global markets.
