Chad Baugh
Vice President of Payer/Provider Business Unit

As the Vice President of the Payer and Provider Business Unit, Chad leads Best Doctors’ expansion into the insurance industry. Passionate about solving the problems in health care, he is responsible for analyzing best strategies in product segmentation and program development, while designing business strategies for new opportunities in the payer market.

Chad has more than 15 years of experience in health care, holding key leadership positions in operations, sales and provider solutions  at GE Healthcare, dbMotion, Allscripts and Edifecs. He received an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

Kelly Bliss
Chief of Staff

Kelly is passionate about building high-functioning leadership teams that help align Best Doctors’ culture with our commercial goals and purpose—eradicating misdiagnosis and improving the quality of health care. Responsible for global HR, talent acquisition and management, organizational development, project management organization, real estate and IT infrastructure, she drives enterprise alignment of Best Doctors’ Global Leadership Team and company growth to ensure Best Doctors has the best talent working toward our goals.

Kelly has over 20 years’ experience in human resources within a variety of industries and holds a bachelor’s in Industrial Psychology from Nichols College and maintains the designation of certified Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institution.

Enrique Cardona
Vice President of Operations EME&A

As Vice President of Operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EME&A), Enrique has been driving the company’s growth throughout the Eastern Hemisphere, bringing Best Doctors’ core value of clinical excellence to dozens of countries. As the top decision maker for EME&A, he supports the operations business unit – comprised of services operations and quality, medical operations, marketing, finance, legal and HR – ensuring  all of the teams he leads have what they need to give our clients and members the best service possible.

Enrique has been at the forefront of the health and wellness sectors for over ten years and has held operational leadership positions at IMED Hospitales, SHA Wellness Clinic and Caser Residential. He holds several degrees, including a bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, a master’s in Business Management and Marketing from the Real Centro Universitario María Cristina and a Master of Business Administration from ITEAP.

Bernard Chien
Chief Technology Officer

Bernard Chien is the Chief Technology Officer at Best Doctors. He, along with the product innovation, software engineering, quality assurance and program management teams, works to ensure Best Doctors’ cutting-edge technology accomplishes our mission and achieves the highest levels of quality, member satisfaction and value for our clients.

Bernard earned his bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and brings over 20 years of experience at Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Software-enabled-Services (SeS) companies.

Robin Cooper
Vice President of Strategic Relationships

Robin Cooper is the Vice President of Strategic Relationships at Best Doctors in Canada. A passionate and strategic leader, Robin’s strong track record of developing strategic initiatives and objectives and executing on action plans has helped the organization boost sales and growth. She brings a unique combination of business knowledge and strong relationship management skills that creates both long-term growth and market leadership for Best Doctors.

Robin brings over 20 years of experience in the health care industry in business development, client relationship and strategic partnership leadership roles. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Ryerson University.

Michael DeSimone
Vice President of Product and Marketing

As Vice President of Software Solution Marketing and Product, Mike supports the product and marketing teams responsible for promoting Best Doctors across a wide variety of industries, creating strategic partnerships and developing services to bring as much value as possible to clients.

Mike has been in the health care and benefits business for over 20 years, with experience in business development, risk management, account management and payer solutions, including a number of leadership roles at McKesson. He obtained his bachelor’s in Business Administration from Merrimack College, and his master’s in Economics from the University of New Hampshire.

David Gipstein
Global Vice President of Technology and Real Estate

In Dave’s role as Global Vice President of Technology and Real Estate, he and his teams oversee and enable global IT infrastructure and operations, cloud and data center services, security operations and technology support, as well as the company’s real estate portfolio and space initiatives.  Additionally, he also leads the execution of various corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, integrations and divestitures. Dave brings 25 years’ multi-industry experience in health care, software, consulting and higher education and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Karen Grant
Vice President International Solutions

As Vice President of International Solutions, Karen is responsible for analyzing the best strategies for product penetration, segmentation, roadmaps and program development. Karen supports the international business team with market research and strategy development for new business opportunities across the globe. Using this knowledge, she provides both strategic and tactical leadership for Best Doctor’s innovative portfolio of products and services in Canada, United Kingdom, Asian Pacific and Australia (APAC) and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EME&A).

In addition to previously serving as Vice President of Canadian Operations at Best Doctors, Karen was recognized for her operational excellence as an executive at TransUnion. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Guelph and received her master’s from the Sandermoen School of Business at University of Fredericton.

Jeff Harner
Chief Analytics Officer

Jeff Harner is the Chief Analytics Officer at Best Doctors. He is continuously pioneering advancements in our analytics product offerings to better serve our clients and better identify the members we can help. In working to expand the Best Doctors analytics service, he focuses on providing and applying information-based business intelligence and analytics to solve specific problems for both clients and Best Doctors’ business leaders.

With executive leadership roles at Nationwide Better Health, Cigna Health Care and Healthnet, Jeff brings a lengthy career in health analytics and informatics to Best Doctors with expertise in medical management, health promotion, disability and absence management and population risk assessment. Jeff holds a bachelor’s in health care administration from Providence College and a master’s in health care management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

David Harrison, MD
US Medical Director

David Harrison, MD, is the U.S. Medical Director for Best Doctors. As the leader of the many physicians at Best Doctors, he ensures the highest quality in our clinical services, organizational infrastructure and service line processes. In addition to his work with Best Doctors, David is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is currently an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and practices primary care at MGH’s satellite location in Everett.

David received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and then earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School.  He trained in the Harvard Combined Medicine/Pediatrics Residency.

Dominic Howard
Director, Europe

As the Director in Europe, Dominic used his profound experience to successfully expand Best Doctors into the United Kingdom and Ireland. He aided the active promotion of Best Doctors’ services and in turn, helped fortify partnering insurers and IFAs’ portfolios that have allowed Best Doctors to help millions of members. He also oversees all European sales and account management teams to help ensure clients are obtaining an optimal use of Best Doctors services and Best Doctors is meeting all of their needs.

Dominic brings 30 years of business development, sales and marketing leadership experience to the Best Doctors team. He attended St Benedict’s School in Ealing and holds a joint master’s degree in Medieval History and Fine Art from the University of St. Andrews.

Suzanne Leary
Vice President of North American Operations

As Vice President for North American Operations, Sue is committed to making sure members have a positive, memorable interaction with Best Doctors. With member satisfaction and clinical quality as key objectives, she leads the team responsible for directly serving our members, from performing medical intakes to collecting medical records to connecting members to medical specialists who can best address each member’s personal health challenge.

Sue has over 20 years of experience in operations at Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts, where she drove results for outstanding customer service ratings and world class call center achievements, as well as created new service models and tools to enhance member experience. She holds a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Emmanuel College.

Lewis Levy, MD, FACP
Chief Medical Officer

Lew Levy, MD, FACP is the Chief Medical Officer at Best Doctors. He provides medical leadership to the clinical operations team so they can  deliver the highest quality clinical information on diagnosis and treatment to members and their treating physicians. He has over 25 years of clinical experience as an internist at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Boston. Dr. Levy also has an extensive teaching career as a preceptor in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is an instructor at Harvard Medical School. He continues to practice primary care internal medicine and has participated in pioneer ACO, HMO and FFS arrangements.

Dr. Levy earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Peter McClennen
Chief Executive Officer

As the CEO, Peter is at the helm of the company as it grows globally. With a deep concentration in health care throughout his career, he uniquely understands the complex environment and the critical intersection of quality service and efficient operations that lead to sustained success, both in the U.S. and in global markets. This understanding allows him to successfully lead the Best Doctors team in expanding our product portfolio to better serving our clients, helping Best Doctors achieve our mission of solving every member’s medical uncertainty.

Peter brings more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry. In addition to leadership roles in hospitals, medical imaging centers and health care technology companies, he led dbMotion Inc from its early days as a start-up to an industry leader in the interoperability and Health Information Exchange (HIE) market space. When dbMotion was acquired by Allscripts Health Solutions, he served as President of Population Health Management, building a new business unit focused on the transition to value-based care through patient engagement, systems interoperability and analytics.

John McLean
Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer at Best Doctors, John is responsible for the company’s worldwide finance operation. He plays an integral role in external reporting and accounting, and has created a world-class controllership and reporting organization, while also supporting significant investment decisions and acquisition activity. John oversees the accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury and investor relations teams.

John spent the majority of his career at KPMG, working with a focus on the health care sector. John holds a master’s in Accounting and Finance from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Kristen Moody
Vice President of US Account Management

Kristen Moody leads the Best Doctors, US Account Management team. She brings proven experience strategically growing, maintaining, and developing business in the health care analytics and employee benefits space.

She has strong competencies in planning, operations, marketing, product management, account management and business planning including but not limited to forecast and satisfaction metrics.

Kristen spent the last 10 years with Verscend Technology Inc. (fka Verisk Health) in a variety of account management roles, most recently leading their Population Health Account Management team. Prior to Verscend, Kristen was a licensed health, life and accident insurance broker working for several mid-tier firms. Kristen was certified as a Registered Health Underwriter and obtained a certificate in Global Employee Benefits from the IFEBP.

Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Management with a concentration in Labor Relations from Providence College. She resides in Westford, Massachusetts with her husband and two children.

Hallie Pierson
Global Vice President of Human Resources

As the Global Vice President of Human Resources, Hallie is responsible for the development of HR strategy and driving results for our people programs. In addition to advising leaders throughout the organization on best practices, she is also a hands-on leader responsible for talent acquisition, retention, employee development and innovative rewards programs for Best Doctors employees around the world.

Hallie joined Best Doctors with over 20 years of experience in human resources, both as a consultant to various businesses as well as a practitioner. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame and holds a bachelor’s in Sociology with Concentrations in secondary education, economics and political science and currently has her SPHR and SHRM-SPC.

Darren Reynolds
Senior Vice President of International Business

Darren is an Australian native with over 26 years of experience in general management and strategic roles.

Since 2010, he has been the head of the Australasia team assisting his staff in developing the Best Doctors brand and spreading our values across the region. His leadership and knowledge has been vital to the growth that Best Doctors has experienced in this part of the world. In addition, Darren is Vice President of Global Partnerships managing some of the largest accounts at Best Doctors.

Some of his previous roles include General Manager for Client Solutions at the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIF), General Manager for Sales at Versura Capital and Strategic Sales Consultant at National Workplace Training.

Darren has a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Communications from the University of Western Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Management from Monash University.

Mike Salsbury
Chief Legal Officer

As Chief Legal Officer, Mike handles all legal affairs at Best Doctors and oversees the company’s legal team.  He has more than 30 years of experience dealing with the business issues of public and private companies, both as inside counsel as General Counsel of MCI Communications Corporations and of numerous private companies, and as outside counsel  while a partner at national law firms.  He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Virginia.

Ryan Schoenecker
Vice President of US Employer Sales

As the Vice President of U.S. Sales, Ryan is responsible for sales strategies across a number of industries. His focus on customer needs and attention to detail has helped the U.S. sales team bring the Best Doctors services to many new and diverse clients and millions of new members.

Ryan has nearly 15 years of experience in sales and account management and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, as well as a Certificate of Data Analytics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Steven Solomon
Vice President of Canadian Account Management

As Vice President of Account Management, Steven’s responsibilities span business strategy, client relations and development on both the domestic and international stage. A skilled and proven leader, he builds long-term, sustainable relationships with clients and partners alike to help Best Doctors provide the best service possible to both our clients and in turn, our members.

Steven brings almost 30 years of national and international experience in sales, account management and health care credit risk to Best Doctors. As a Business Development Executive at TransUnion, he repositioned the company as a forceful entity by radically shifting business strategy. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of South Africa.
